Raw materials
Thes wooden logs for making the wooden cutlery are collected from Durgampalli hill forest at Udayagiri. The Most commonly used Wood in making the wooden cutlery is Devadari, Naridi & Neem.
Seasoning
TThe large wooden blocks are dried initially for ten days, then soaked in water and again redried. The Large Wooden logs are now cut in small blocks, wrapped with Jute threads to remove moisture. This process of wrapping Jute threads makes the Wooden blocks soft and more suitable for carving.
